Campofelice di Roccella

In the province of Palermo, has about 8,000 inhabitants in winter, and about 40,000 in the summer season.

For almost 100 years is the protagonist of the famous car race Targa Florio, conceived by Vincenzo Florio, Palermo noble motoring enthusiast who, after participating in Brescia as a competitor of a car race, the gave birth May 5, 1906 in the territory of Cefalu C.da Pistavecchia, ensuring attendance of journalists and sports such internationally renowned newspapers and gaining a huge reputation.
 

Vincenzo Florio being in Paris and seeing the circuit of Auvergne region of France, was impressed by the many curves, the ups and downs and the long flat section that reminded him of the Madonie. Florio was there that he found the inspiration for what would become, in fact, the very first international car race, test for the manufacturers and for the skill of the pilots. So he drew on a piece of paper the route: Cerda, Caltavuturo, Petralia, Geraci, Castelbuono, Isnello, Collesano, Campofelice: around 147 km of gravel road about, able to put to a severe test cars and drivers.
 
Campofelice di Roccella, also, and 'can enjoy beautiful sunsets, unique lighting effects and colorful sea, from the large panoramic space called "Belvedere of Sunsets" from which the view sweeps to the Gulf of Palermo. Elegant and artistic, and 'a safe meeting place for tourists and residents of all ages.
